PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A brazen boat burglar managed to steal a 40-foot yacht in North Jersey over the weekend.
New Jersey State Police said the man stole a 1968 Hinckley Bermuda — a classic American cruising yacht — from Liberty Harbor Marina in Jersey City on Aug. 22.
Surveillance video from around 11 p.m. shows a man undocking the yacht, then sailing off.
The suspect was wearing a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt and black shorts. At some point during the theft, officials said, he may have changed to a blue hat and tan hooded sweatshirt.
