PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 61-year-old man was killed Tuesday night while crossing the street in North Philadelphia, along Broad Street.
The crash happened just before about 11 p.m. at the intersection of Broad and Susquehanna Avenue.
The driver of a gray Honda Accord struck the man as he drove north on Broad and stayed on scene, as medics pronounced the man dead about 40 minutes later.
Detectives with the city's Accident Investigation Unit are handling the incident.
No one was initially charged.
