PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are searching for the person they say shot another man on a SEPTA bus in Center City a couple months ago.
Authorities say 23-year-old Darnell Still fired at the victim on the bus while it was stopped near Broad and Chestnut streets around 1 a.m. on July 15.
"The bus driver heard multiple shots. He stopped the bus. Everybody ran off," recounted Deputy Commissioner Ben Naish. "As a result from the diligent efforts of our Central Detectives, we obtained an arrest warrant."
Naish said nearby surveillance video captured footage of Still running off the bus after the shooting, and he was subsequently identified as the shooter.
He is still wanted by authorities.
The victim suffered serious injuries but did survive.
Anyone with information on Still's whereabouts is asked to call or text a tip to 215-686-TIPS.
