PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police have arrested the man wanted in connection with at least five sexual assaults in Center City over the last month.
Dynel Walker, 37, is accused of assaulting five women between July 18 and Aug. 3. Police said he was apprehended at a business in Horsham, Montgomery County, based on a tip.
Police Captain Margo Alleyne-Parker said during the first incident, a woman was walking her dog near 19th and Spruce streets around 6:30 a.m. when a man approached her from behind and said, “Good morning, beautiful.” Then, he assaulted her.
The next morning, on July 19, a woman was similarly assaulted while trying to get inside her apartment building around 3 a.m. near 20th and Delancey streets.

Then, just after 8 a.m. on Aug. 2, police said a man reached over a woman’s shoulder to grope her from behind near 16th and Waverly streets.
On Aug. 3 and about a block south, police said a man assaulted a woman who was walking to her car around 1 a.m. Later that afternoon, on 25th and Webster streets, police said a man assaulted another woman as she was trying to get into her front door.
Across the five reported incidents, police said the consistency of action, offender description, and vicinity led them to believe one man — Walker — committed all the assaults.
Officials are concerned there may be more unreported incidents.
“Over this past weekend, there were three, so it seems like it’s escalating,” Alleyne-Parker said. “If anyone hasn’t made a report, definitely come to the Special Victims [Unit] to make a report.”
Walker is charged with aggravated indecent assault, two counts of indecent assault, three counts of unlawful restraint, and an assortment of misdemeanor charges.
