PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — You’ll be hearing an iconic voice announce LeBron James’ baskets at Sixers home games.
Matt Cord is coming back to the Sixers as their PA announcer for one more season, after previously saying the 2025-26 season would be his last.

The Sixers said Cord has also agreed to help the team find their next PA announcer through tryouts, which are slated to begin this winter.
Cord said he’s incredibly grateful for the chance to return to the mic.
“Serving in this role for the past 28 years has been a dream come true, and I have been fortunate to witness so many memorable moments from the best seat in the house,” he said. “This is going to be a special year, and I can’t wait to be back at Xfinity Mobile Arena with you all. Let’s go, 76ers!”
