PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A growing number of men and women in their 20s and 30s are complaining more about muscle stiffness and neck and back pain.
There is good reason. The combination of screen time at work (whether work is at home or at the office), combined with social media, leads to reduced exercise and prolonged sitting. Over time this weakens the core muscles.
Combine this with bad posture while using keyboards, and even a young, healthy man or woman can feel like they are decades older.
It is important to stretch, stand up and move every 20 minutes and drink plenty of water. And avoid unnecessary screen time.
