PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Three more studies were just released about the health impacts of drinking coffee. These are just the latest of many such studies looking at coffee consumption.
Three new reports were just released in Australia, which looked at more than 380,000 people and concluded that drinking two to three cups of coffee per day can improve heart health.
There have been literally thousands of studies released in the past three decades looking at the pros and cons of caffeine.
Here is what top cardiologists think: There are certain people who should avoid caffeinated coffee, including those with serious heart and heart-rhythm abnormalities, and those patients need to discuss the issue with their cardiologists. But for everyone else, the studies support the moderate use of caffeine — two to three cups per day. The degree of benefit continues to be debated.
