PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — People with osteoarthritis often develop the condition later in life and have significant pain using affected joints.
However, the new study supports the concept that movements associated with moderate exercise can help reduce pain.
The study found that those with more severe pain actually benefited more than those with mild osteoarthritis.
This is promising news, but if you are considering adding a new exercise program, you should discuss it with your physician. Remember, there are many additional treatments that can help with osteoarthritis.
