PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Most of us occasionally forget where we put our wallet, cellphone or keys. If this wasn't common, there wouldn't be apps like Find My Phone.

But when does it become a sign that there may be a problem, possibly dementia?


These can be frightening questions and there is not a perfect test out there to let you know for sure. However, there are multiple tests available to your doctor — and believe it or not, many can be performed with a telehealth visit.

These tests called can serve as a screening tool to see if additional and more intensive studies and tests are necessary.

Many things can impact memory, and there is treatment for quite a few. If you have questions about changes in your memory or the memory of a loved one, a brief visit to your doctor may help.
