PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — As many as 1 in 6 people suffer from depression at some point in their lives. There are numerous medications that can help and it can be very helpful to seek counseling from a psychiatrist or psychologist.

Lifestyle can help as well. A new report in the Journal of the American Medical Association Psychiatry Edition supports this concept.


In a study of 3,000 people conducted over three years, it was found that exercise — even at a moderate level — provided significant health benefits and relief from depression.
