Medical Report: More and more young people are dealing with anxiety

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — According to several new studies, a growing number of young adults are dealing with anxiety.

The causes range everything from social media to the impact of the pandemic.

There are certain steps that can help many of us. The first is caffeine reduction. Take a look at your consumption of coffee, tea and caffeinated sodas and energy drinks. Cutting back can make a huge difference.

Another way that works: exercise. This is a natural and healthy way to reduce those feelings of stress.

Finally, don’t be afraid to talk with your doctor or someone you trust. Counseling and medication when needed can also be a huge help.
