PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Biking is a wonderful aerobic sport that can be relaxing and fun.
Cycling is an excellent form of exercise too, but it can also be dangerous. More than 100,000 cyclists get injured in road crashes every year and more than 1,000 die.
A significant number of injuries are caused either directly or indirectly by passing motorists. If you come across cyclists on the road, remember that they have a right to the road.
Give them space, whether you are sharing a lane or passing. If you are going to pass a cyclist, use the same caution you would use with a car.
