PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — There is a reason why most medical experts recommend eating a healthy breakfast as well as well-balanced meals throughout the day. In our fast-paced world, many people skip breakfast or lunch while others try dramatic diets.
However, there is one consistent step that can be taken that will guarantee results: Take careful note of your snacking. Late-night snacking, for instance, can be a time when people sabotage their best efforts by filling up on empty calories.
Snacking is not bad, though. In fact, it can be helpful to snack throughout the day. You want snacks rich in nutrients, like low-fat yogurt, fruit and vegetables. Avoid cookies, cakes, candy and chips.
