PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking for three men caught on video robbing a North Philadelphia store at gunpoint.
It happened around 4 p.m. last Tuesday at the Diaz Grocery store on 29th Street, near Jefferson Street in Brewerytown.
Surveillance video shows two suspects entering the store, forcing employees into a stockroom and demanding they open a safe, while a third person was keeping watch outside.
Police say one of the men then pistol-whipped the store owner, striking them in the eye.
After failing to access the safe, they ransacked the store, then took off with the owner's keys and phone and about $7,000.
Police say one of the suspects is believed to be between 25 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a KMSL hooded sweatshirt and a Sprayground backpack. The other suspect is believed to be between 17 and 20 years old. Police say he has ear-length twists/braids and was last seen with a black and white Spider-Man backpack.
Anyone who spots these men or has information on them is urged to contact police at 215-686-8477.
