PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two men were shot and killed about a half-block apart from one another overnight in North Philadelphia.
It happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday on Pike Street, between Reese and Fairhill streets, in Hunting Park.
The victims were 35 and 42 years old, respectively.
Detectives found 12 shell casings near the bodies.
"It appears that the shooter at both of these scenes walked right up to these victims and fired multiple shots, since they're both struck in the head, chest and torso multiple times," said Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
There are surveillance cameras near each scene, which police hope will help them identify a suspect — or determine whether there was more than one gunman.
