Officials say she was last seen around 6 p.m. near East Ward Elementary School in Downingtown. She was there for a court-ordered, supervised visit with her 37-year-old biological mother, Vanessa Gutshall, according to a statement released by the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.

The supervisor for the visit told police that Gutshall fled with the girl in a gray 2016 Volkswagen Jetta with Pennsylvania license plate number KXR-3699.

Investigators have learned that Gutshall was last seen shortly before 8 p.m., about two hours after Zoe Moss went missing, at the Rivertowne Restaurant & Bar in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, about an hour west of Downingtown, near York. Downingtown Police have a warrant for her arrest.

Downingtown Police Chief Howard Holland said anyone who has seen the girl, the mother, or the vehicle should call 911. The Downingtown Police Department is available at 610-269-0263.

“It is imperative that we find Zoe Moss immediately because of the potentially dangerous situation she is in with her mother,” said District Attorney Deb Ryan in the statement. “Just because her mother is involved does not mean she is in less danger.”

Amber Alerts are issued for kids under the age of 18 who are abducted and believed to be in imminent danger of injury or death.
