PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An Egg Harbor Township teenager with autism who had been missing for two days was found safe.
Police said 16-year-old Joel Medina is okay and was reunited with family around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.
In a statement on social media, Egg Harbor police thanked everyone that quote, "never quit, never lost hope, and assisted with this HAPPY ENDING!"
Medina was last seen on Friday afternoon after officials said he ran away from his home behind the Shore Mall.
Police are expected to give a full update Sunday on the details of the search efforts.
