PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two-year-old triplets were found safe after an hourslong search Sunday, but both of their parents are dead.

Philadelphia police said their mother was killed. Her body was found around 7:30 p.m. Sunday inside a home near 19th and Haines streets in West Oak Lane.

Police believe the kids’ father shot and killed the mother.

Pennsylvania State Police had issued a missing persons alert for the toddlers, believing the father took them from the home.

Around 10 p.m., the father was found dead in Lansdale, Montgomery County inside a car. Police said he killed himself. The triplets were not with him.

Around 3 a.m. Monday, police confirmed the children are physically OK, though they did not say where they were found.
