NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A Montgomery County man has been charged in connection with a fatal car crash last week in Lawnside, New Jersey.

Camden County prosecutors say on May 13, just after 9:30 p.m., Anwar Parham, 29, of North Wales, collided with another car at the intersection of White Horse Pike and Gloucester Avenue.

Two women, both 69 years old, were in the car he crashed into and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver, later identified as Theresa Karbach, died about two hours later. The passenger was injured and is undergoing treatment.

Investigators say Parham was driving at a high speed before and during the crash.

He is charged with death and assault by auto, and driving with a suspended license.
