PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are searching for seven more suspects wanted in connection with several assaults and a robbery near Temple University’s campus over Easter weekend.

It all started Saturday around 7:50 p.m. when a large group of kids, upward of 200 people, gathered at Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue. Officials said the group was orderly at first, but eventually got out of control. There was a robbery and three assaults of varying degrees, and one person was arrested.

Temple University President John Fry said earlier this week that five Temple students were assaulted — one, by multiple people outside a residence hall near 12th Street. That student, along with one other, needed medical attention.

More chaos rang out Sunday evening. There was another robbery and three more people were assaulted, including a 12-year-old girl. Seven juveniles close in age were arrested in connection, and a fake gun was seized.

On Monday, police released images of three other suspects also wanted in connection with the rowdy weekend.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call the Central Detective Division at 215-686-3047/3048 or email investigations@temple.edu.
