PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Thursday night in Northeast Philadelphia.
It happened just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of New State Road and Longshore Avenue in Tacony.
Police said a black BMW was traveling northbound on New State Road and making a left turn onto Longshore Avenue when a motorcycle, traveling southbound, came around the bend and slammed into the car.
The impact sent the 22-year-old motorcyclist flying off the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the BMW remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
