PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — It was a violent night across the city.
In North Philadelphia, an 18-year-old was shot after a multi-car crash. It happened just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at Front Street and Eerie Avenue. Police said a total of four cars were involved in the crash.
A 16-year-old passenger in the car with the victim told police that the shooter got out of one of the cars and shot at them several times.
The victim managed to drive several blocks and flag down officers, who took him to the hospital. He remains in critical condition.
Around the same time in Tacony, a 19-year-old on a scooter was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting near Levick and Ditman streets. He was later identified as Hashim Gardner.
Police say the shooter was in a dark-colored sedan. They're looking at surveillance video to find a license plate number.
