PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A former Neshaminy School District bus driver has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.
Middletown Township police say a search warrant was issued in March for 75-year-old Robert Derr’s home. Detectives seized and examined multiple of his electronic devices and discovered more than 1,000 images of child pornography.
At the time of the warrant, Derr was a bus driver with Neshaminy School District Transportation. He has since resigned.
On Thursday, he turned himself in. Bail was set at $100,000. He posted it and was released under the condition he does not use the internet or come in contact with anyone under age 18.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 8.
