NJ woman arrested, charged with killing husband

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Mays Landing, New Jersey woman faces a charge of murdering her husband after authorities found and pronounced him dead on Christmas night.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said that Hamilton Township Police went to a home on the 5200 block of Somers Point Road in Mays Landing at about 10:20 p.m. that night after a report that a man was injured.

Officers found David Wigglesworth, 57 with what prosecutors said was a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Marylue Wigglesworth, 51, was arrested later that evening.

Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Township of Hamilton Police Department are conducting an ongoing investigation.
