PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are still searching for a suspect in connection with the death of a 22-year-old woman in Frankford two summers ago. New surveillance footage was released on Friday in an attempt to advance the investigation.

It was just after 10 p.m. on June 23, 2024, when Philadelphia police found the remains of 22-year-old Anastasiya Stangret on Griscom Street, around the corner from the Arrott Transit Center in Frankford.

She had a single gunshot wound to the head, and police said her body was in an advanced stage of decomposition.

Authorities have had little to go on for a year and a half, and her death remains unsolved.

However, on Friday, police released new street surveillance video that shows Stangret walking in the area of Penn and Arrott streets just days before she was found dead.

In some of the videos, she’s seen walking with a man whose head is blurred out.

The city is offering a $20,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

Police urge anyone with information about Stangret’s death to reach out to the department’s Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334/3335. Tips can be called in to 215-686-8477.
