PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Eagles will be sporting some fancy footwear during Sunday’s game.

While there’s been a close eye on Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts’ performance for most of the season, this week, there’s a big focus is on his feet.

Hurts, and many other players across the league, are sporting custom kicks as part of the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign. As part of the campaign, the shoes will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the charity of their choosing.

Hurts plans to wear purple and green classic Jordan cleats that read, “Lift as you climb, one child at a time.”

He’s supporting the Eagles Autism Foundation and the OneMindSet Foundation.

“...A good friend of mine I played with him in Oklahoma, OneMindSet Foundation is something he founded just to uplift the different communities,” Hurts said.

“He started off in his hometown community…and that’s something I want to support him in.”

Alongside Hurts, Eagles tight end Grant Calcaterra is participating in the cause.

He is super excited to be wearing a pair of custom cleats and supporting a cause that is near and dear to him, he said.

Calcaterra chose the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation as his cause. It helps support families and coworkers of fallen firefighters.

“I have family who are involved in it, and it’s obviously something I’m interested in,” Calcaterra said.

The auction is online and ends Dec. 15.
