PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — You might not want to go swimming at these Jersey Shore beaches right now.

Initial water tests conducted Monday showed high levels of fecal bacteria at three beaches: Albany Avenue Beach in Atlantic City, Philadelphia Avenue Beach in Cape May, and Hollywood Avenue Beach in Wildwood Crest.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection said it is likely a result of the recent heavy rains.

All beaches remain open, but if the next round of testing exceeds water quality standards, they will be closed to swimming.

Ten bay or river beaches, in Ocean, Monmouth and Cape May counties, are under an advisory as well:

— 57th Street in Avalon (bay)
— Beesley's Point Beach in Upper Township (bay)
— Highlands Rec Center in Highlands (bay)
— Brooklyn Avenue in Lavallette (bay)
— Anglesea Avenue in Ocean Gate (river)
— East Beach Station Avenue in Pine Beach (river)
— River Avenue Beach in Point Pleasant Borough (river)
— Maxon Avenue Beach in Point Pleasant Borough (river)
— 5th Avenue bayfront in Seaside Park (bay)
— Hancock Avenue in Seaside Heights (bay)
