NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — About a dozen cars were broken into in Burlington County Friday. Police are investigating whether these break-ins are connected to several others that happened over the last two weeks.

Police say it happened just before 1 a.m. Friday in Medford Township. One dozen cars across three different developments were hit.

Authorities say one car, a Dodge Ram, was stolen from a house on Milton Drive and later found on Butler Court in a development near Route 70.

Investigators say the suspects got into at least eight unlocked cars in the Medford Chase development before targeting four unlocked ones just a few miles away in Taunton Trace.

Our newsgathering partners at NBC10 obtained surveillance video from a family in Taunton Trace that shows a person running away from a car parked outside their home, followed by at least two others.

Investigators say there was also a string of break-ins over two weeks in Evesham Township, where 21 cars were hit. Authorities ask anyone with information or surveillance footage of the suspects to call 609-267-8300.
