PINE HILL, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — New Jersey Transit has unveiled a new bus wrap designed by a Camden County student to honor America’s 250th birthday.

Each high school in the state was encouraged to submit a student design for a new bus wrap to celebrate the 250th. NJ Transit selected two winners, including one from Overbrook High School 10th-grader Lisa Adames Valenzuela.

Her design incorporates the Statue of Liberty and the Cape May Lighthouse.

Her teacher, Claudia Biddle, said being selected for this is a tremendous honor.

“She is such a talented 10th-grader, and we are so lucky to have such talent at such a young age,” said Biddle. “She has two more years to keep on providing amazing artwork and maybe win some more awards for her district.”

The other winner was from a student at Art Lab Studios in Fort Lee.
