PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Malvern man charged last year with bringing guns and ammunition to a Chester County "No Kings" rally will spend more than three years in prison on a federal charge.
Kevin Krebs, 32, was sentenced on Tuesday to 37 months in prison after pleading guilty last December to possessing unregistered explosive devices.
He could have received a maximum of 10 years behind bars.
Those explosive devices were found inside his home two days after his arrest at a rally on June 14 of last year for carrying a firearm without a license.
Chester County detectives discovered a possible pipe bomb, and related materials in his garage.
Bomb technicians examined the device and determined that it contained nails and screws.
Additional improvised explosive devices, as well as other explosive materials and related components, were also recovered.
Krebs could get additional prison time, as he also faces state charges for possession of firearms, weapons of mass destruction and other offenses. That case is still pending.
