PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An elementary school teacher in Montgomery County has been charged with making child sexual abuse material.

Federal prosecutors said 39-year-old Eric Sanville used Snapchat to coax two 8-year-old girls to send him sexually explicit images.

Sanville is a teacher at Gwynedd Square Elementary in Lansdale. Police arrested him at his Norwood home on Thursday.

North Penn School District’s superintendent said there’s no evidence that any students were victimized. Officials also said it does not appear that any district-owned technology was used.

Sanville has been placed on leave, prohibited from district property, and barred from contacting students.

The North Penn School District said it is cooperating with law enforcement.

If convicted, Sanville could spend between 15 and 30 years in prison.
