PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities are looking for a 17-year-old boy and a younger boy, around 10 to 12 years old, who they believe are behind a series of robberies and carjackings in North Philadelphia.

All of the incidents occurred between Aug. 16 and Aug. 22. The first happened at 10th Street and Girard Avenue just before 10 p.m. Investigators say the pair approached a person sitting outside their car, pointed a gun at them, and took the car.

Two days later, at 2 a.m., the duo did the same thing — but this time, to a person sitting inside a car — at 13th and Cumberland streets, investigators say.

The two crashed that car on Aug. 21 around 5 a.m., according to police. They then approached a man sitting in his parked car at 13th and Ontario streets, when they knocked on his window with a handgun and robbed him, police say.

The next morning, someone pushed a 74-year-old woman to the ground at 20th Street and Girard Avenue before robbing her of her keys and wallet. Police believe it was the same suspects.

Police say the 17-year-old is about 5-foot-8 with a thin build. The 10- to 12-year-old is described as about 5-foot with “puffy hair.”

Police encourage anyone with any information on these incidents to call 215-686-8477.
