PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia officer was injured in a hit-and-run early Saturday morning.
Officials say it happened just after 1 a.m. on West Luzerne Street in North Philadelphia. They say the officer, assigned to the Neighborhood Services Unit, was traveling westbound when their vehicle collided with someone else's.
The officer was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to be released. It is unknown if the other driver was injured.
An investigation is underway.
