Oregon man pleads guilty to stabbing death of Cherry Hill veterinarian

Cristian Custodio-Aquino

Camden County Prosecutor's Office

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An Oregon man has pleaded guilty to the murder of a veterinarian two years ago in Camden County.

Cristian Custodio-Aquino, 28, of Portland, Oregon, admitted to killing Dr. Michael Anthony. The 45-year-old was found stabbed to death on the front lawn of his Cherry Hill home in December 2024.

Prosecutors said Custodio-Aquino left a critical clue at the scene: a pair of glasses with his DNA on them. In addition, blood in his car was a match for the victim.

Investigators have said Custodio-Aquino had a prior romantic relationship with Anthony’s boyfriend.

Custodio-Aquino is expected to get 30 years in prison when he’s sentenced next month.
