PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Saturday was bookended in gun violence, in another violent start to the weekend. Two people were killed and several others — including a "combative" gunshot victim, according to police — were wounded in shootings early Saturday morning. And the violence was capped by a triple shooting outside a bar in the city's Grays Ferry neighborhood.
Police say a 32-year-old man was shot twice in the abdomen around 12:45 a.m. near 5th Street and Lindley Avenue in the Olney section of the city. He was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
The gunman reportedly fled eastbound on Lindley in a gray vehicle.

In North Philadelphia, Philly and Temple University police responded to reports of a person opening fire on the 1700 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue just before 1:30 a.m.
They found a man in his 20s shot in the chest and back. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead less than three hours later. A 22-year-old woman was also found with a gunshot wound to the thigh. Police say she's in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, but police say they're looking for two male suspects.
In another North Philadelphia incident, officers responded to reports of a shooting at 25th Street and Ridge Avenue around 2:40 a.m. They found a 39-year-old man shot several times. He was pronounced dead on the scene minutes later. A gun was found next to him.
Gunshot victim, himself, gets violent
And in the Hunting Park area, a shooting victim in Hunting Park is facing assault charges.
Police say he was shot in the chest on North 9th Street near Luzerne Street just after midnight Saturday.
Before police could reach the scene, the 30-year-old victim walked to Temple University Hospital, about a mile away. Our partners at NBC10 report he allegedly assaulted two nurses and a police officer at the hospital.
The officer suffered minor injuries, while the gunshot victim was arrested for assault. Police are still looking for suspects in his shooting.
