MEDIA, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — One man is dead and another wounded after an early Saturday shooting in Delaware County that left a portion of I-95 closed for much of the morning.
State police in Media say they responded to a call about a shooting on I-95 Northbound, at mile marker 1.6 in Upper Chichester Township, shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
Upon arrival, authorities say troopers found a 41-year-old man inside a vehicle, dead from apparent gunshot wounds. A 42-year-old man was found in the passenger seat, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital.
Investigators closed I-95 Northbound between exits 2 and 3 after the shooting. The road has since reopened. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police's Criminal Investigation Unit at 484-840-1000.
