PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar announced Friday that she will not order a recount and recanvass of election results.

In a press release, Boockvar said they are still working to count around 100,000 provisional ballots that were issued to voters on Election Day, as well as the 28,529 overseas and military ballots.

Officials have counted approximately 40,000 provisional ballots as of Friday.

Boockvar said there will not be a recount and recanvass because, based on unofficial returns, “no statewide candidate was defeated by one-half of one percent or less of the votes cast.”

Earlier this week, the Trump campaign filed a wide-ranging federal lawsuit against Pennsylvania and a handful of counties, asking for an emergency order to prevent the certification of election results.
