PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A large number of disposable vapes and e-cigarettes are now banned from being sold in Pennsylvania, per a new law that took effect on Monday.
Act 57, signed by Gov. Josh Shapiro last year, says manufacturers must be approved and added to a directory of certified electronic nicotine products.
Only seven manufacturers have been approved, leaving many products banned from sale. More than 10,000 businesses statewide will be impacted.
The law requires the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office to regulate vape sales and manage the directory, which will be updated monthly.
