PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Parks on Tap is traveling to Japan this weekend — well, sort of.
It’ll at least feel like you’re there, as this weekend’s pop-up takes place under the cherry blossoms in Fairmount Park.
“We are a completely contained beer garden that just happens to be right outside of the [Fairmount] Horticulture Center,” said Neina Langford, director of marketing for FCM Hospitality.
They offer all Philly-based brews and a few cocktails on tap.
“You don’t have to worry about one drink being good one time and coming back the next time and it's not as good,” she said, “because we batch it to make sure everything’s a perfect drink.”
She expects many people will come for the cherry blossoms but stay for lunch — there’s a hot roast pork sandwich, hummus with edamame, a vegan soba noodle salad, and the classic fare of hot dogs and pretzels.
This pop-up only lasts through Sunday, and with the cherry blossoms in full bloom, Langford promises “the photos will be great.”
