Person hit by NJ Transit River Line train in Burlington County

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A person was hit by a New Jersey Transit River Line train in Burlington County Thursday night.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. in Riverside. The River Line was temporarily suspended between Cinnaminson and Delanco stations.

Authorities said a person walked onto the tracks near the intersection of Pavilion Avenue and Lafayette Street.

The person was taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

A spokesperson for NJ Transit said there were 35 people on the train, plus the operator, at the time of the crash.
