PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man is dead after a shooting at SEPTA’s City Hall Station on Friday morning.
Police say around 7:30 a.m., 27-year-old Sied Ali-Young was shot in the chest on the northbound platform of the Broad Street Line after an alleged argument with 27-year-old Dawiz Idris Munson.
SEPTA said a cashier reported hearing the gunshot.
Police said the two men knew each other. Ali-Young was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. He died around 11 a.m.
Police said Munson, a permitted gun owner who fired the shot, turned himself in. He is charged with murder and related offenses.
Trains were bypassing the station.
