Person struck, killed by Media/Wawa Line train

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — SEPTA's Media/Wawa Line was temporarily suspended Thursday after a person was struck by a train between Delaware County and Southwest Philadelphia.

SEPTA officials said the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. after an outbound train struck a person between the Fernwood-Yeadon Station in Yeadon and the Angora Station in Southwest Philadelphia.

The person's condition is unknown at this time.

Service was later restored Thursday evening.
