SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is providing another $10 million and expanding the state's "Arrive Together" program, which has a police officer and a mental health worker show up in tandem for some calls.
Murphy says the pilot program in Bridgeton was incredibly successful, calling it a game changer.
Several South Jersey towns have been added to the list including Atlantic City, Clementon, Vineland, and Voorhees.
Murphy says this expansion will help provide better outcomes and community service from police while strengthening the bond with the people they serve.
