PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A dirt biker jumped on a woman’s car this weekend in Philadelphia, smashing in her rear window near where her child was seated.

“I think that conduct was completely outrageous,” said Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner. “Whoever that person is, if that person is caught and I get the chance to charge that person, we will be going very, very vigorously after that person.”

The encounter, which happened Sunday at 1400 South Penn Square around 8:45 p.m., was captured on video and shared across social media. It shows a person on a dirt bike wearing a helmet jumping from the street onto the driver’s window. As he hops off of the car, Krasner says what looks like a gun falls out of his pocket and hits the ground.

Surrounded by multiple other bikers, the woman then exits the car and confronts him.

At one point, the man squared off with her, waved the gun at her, then head-butted her with his helmet still on.

The man then hopped back on the bike and the woman pushed him, knocking both him and the bike onto the ground.

The investigation is ongoing and the woman seen in the video is working with police.

“This is a difficulty both with motorbikes, ATV, and drifting that the Philadelphia Police Department and the DA’s office have been working on from the beginning,” Krasner said.

He says officers are limited and can’t engage in high speed chases in an effort to ensure the safety of passersby, but they are looking into other means.
