PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Bucks County have arrested a man who they said shot another man with an untraceable ghost gun during a dispute last week.
Around 12:45 a.m. on Jan. 8, Bensalem police found a man bleeding heavily from a gunshot wound to his arm at the Top of the Ridge Trailer Park on Gibson Road. Officials applied a tourniquet on scene, then brought him to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in critical condition. He was later released.
Investigators said the victim was arguing with people in a sedan before the shooting. When the argument between the victim and the driver turned physical, police said a rear passenger fired two shots. One hit the victim, and the other struck a nearby mobile home.
Police tracked the owner of the car to his residence in Levittown, and further investigation led them to 21-year-old Travis Fleck, of Northeast Philadelphia. Fleck admitted to firing those two shots.
When searching his home, detectives found four firearms, including the 9mm ghost gun that was used in the trailer park shooting. Authorities said Fleck does not have a concealed carry permit.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office announced Fleck has been charged with attempted homicide, carrying a firearm without a license, and related offenses. He was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after bail was set at $1 million.
