Former MMA fighter pleads guilty to aggravated manslaughter in 2022 Atlantic City stabbing death

NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A former MMA fighter from Philadelphia has admitted to stabbing a man to death inside an Atlantic City hotel room nearly two years ago.

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, 35-year-old Andrew Osborne pleaded guilty Thursday to first-degree aggravated manslaughter in the stabbing death of 47-year-old Brian Wilkinson on Sept. 23, 2022.

Prosecutors say after the incident Osborne and his wife went back to Philadelphia, where he was eventually arrested.

Osborne fought in three professional MMA bouts for three different promotions between January 2012 and October 2013. His professional record was one win and two losses.

Osborne's sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 22. His recommended sentence is 25 years.
