PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two of Philadelphia’s beloved arts organizations are joining forces.

The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Kimmel Center announced they will form a new parent company together, aptly called The Philadelphia Orchestra and Kimmel Center, Inc.

The parent company will be led by Matías Tarnopolsky, who currently heads The Philadelphia Orchestra.

The collaborative partnership aims to strengthen business operations, create a more “centralized artistic hub,” and contribute to the city’s COVID-19 economic recovery.
