PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia police officer is accused of shoplifting from a store on the Main Line.
Philadelphia police said 9th District Officer Meika Bell is on administrative duty following an arrest on Friday at the TJ Maxx store on Lancaster Avenue in Radnor.
Bell is accused of stealing, though details about what was taken or the total value have not been released.
Radnor Township Police Superintendent Chris Flanagan only said, “The matter is still an open investigation.”
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Police Department is conducting an Internal Affairs investigation.
Bell will remain on administrative duty pending the outcome.
