PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A former Philadelphia prisons guard is facing gun trafficking charges, accused of buying and selling firearms on social media.

Montgomery County authorities say Amanda Barr, 37, bought half a dozen firearms at a gun show in Oaks, Pennsylvania and then reported two of them stolen just a few weeks later.

Investigators say guns which Barr bought were connected to two illegal firearms arrests in Philadelphia. The other five are unaccounted for.

After an interview with the ATF about those guns, Barr resigned as a corrections officer.

She remains in prison on $500,000 bail, and is next due in court at the end of March.
