Philadelphia to close numerous streets by Made in America festival starting Sunday

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Organizers have released key details for the 2022 Made in America Festival, including road closures which begin as early as this Sunday.

The two-day music event happens on Saturday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 4 on multiple stages along Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Road closures will begin around the area this Sunday for event set up. Closures and parking restrictions will increase each day up to the festival.

The closures will include, at different times, all lanes of Benjamin Franklin Parkway, portions of 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd streets, Spring Garden Street including the tunnel and bridge, Kelly Drive, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and the I-676 westbound off-ramp.

Doors for the festival will open at noon each day. Performances are expected to run from 1 p.m. until around midnight on Saturday and 11 p.m. on Sunday.

Tyler the Creator is scheduled to headline Saturday’s performances, while Bad Bunny will be the featured performer Sunday.
